The Eastern Resource Center Team is excited to welcome Danya El-Amin, owner of ABC & Me, LLC, as a newly licensed Family Home provider in Saginaw County. With the help of a pre-licensure grant, Danya was able to fulfill her ambition of opening her own childcare. Our Quality Improvement Specialist, Rosanna Keller, supported Danya in the Quality Improvement process and emphasized the importance of quality in her program. Pre-Licensure and Start Up Grants are part of Caring for MI Future, a $100 million strategy to open 1,000 new or expanded childcare businesses by the end of 2024, and more information can be found at www.michigan.gov/cclb/caring-for-mi-future. For quality childcare options, visit www.greatstarttoquality.org or call 1-877-614-7328.

Julie Bash stated "I was unable to attend a Great Start Collaborative meeting in Tuscola last week due to other work obligations. Wendy attended, which she often does, but the next morning I received the following message from the Tuscola Great Start Collaborative Director, 'Good Morning, Wendy did a fantastic job representing Great Start to Quality at the GSC meeting yesterday. Thank you for allowing her to join us. She has a lot of information to offer the school readiness advisory committee.' Thank you Wendy for being a supportive partner in our Great Start to Quality work! You are appreciated!" #OrangeSpots #SaginawISD #Excellence
