Elevate your students' writing prowess with a dynamic five-part professional learning series designed exclusively for K-8 educators. Delve into the art and science of fostering strong writing skills among young learners, equipping them with the tools they need to flourish as proficient writers. Educators will learn how to grow their ability to effectively teach and positively influence student learning in the area of writing. To gain the greatest benefit from this learning experience, it is recommended that participants register for all five days. However, it is not required.

01/16/25 - Day One : Teach students to become fluent in handwriting, spelling, and sentence construction.

02/28/25 - Day Two : Teach students to use the writing process for a variety of purposes.

02/21/25 - Day Three : Create an engaged community of writers.

03/05/25 - Day Four : Provide daily time for students to write and hear from several experts in the field. Special Guests: Dr. Julie Brehmer, Dr. Leslie Laud, Dr. Adrea Truckenmiller with a real implementation journey from Rebecca Zimmerman, Merrill Principal and Chris Peacock, Merrill Literacy Coach.

05/16/25 Day 5 : Guided planning time for thinkSRSD strategies with district curricular resources.
