SAGINAW, MI – Saginaw Intermediate School District (ISD) is proud to announce that it received four awards from the National School Public Relations Association (NSPRA) in 2024. Among these, the district's Orange Spot Staff Recognition Program has earned the prestigious Golden Achievement Award, a testament to Saginaw ISD's commitment to strategic excellence in school public relations, communication, marketing, and engagement.

The Golden Achievement Award is one of NSPRA’s highest honors, recognizing exceptional, strategic work in all aspects of school communications. Winning entries are celebrated nationally, and their awards are received at the NSPRA National Seminar each year. "We are incredibly proud to receive the top honor for our Orange Spot Staff Recognition Program," said Coty Kuschinsky, Chief of Staff and Communications Supervisor of Saginaw ISD. "Using the Our Story framework has allowed us to provide equitable access for our staff to publicly celebrate their team members, which has been a significant positive culture and climate builder within our district."

In addition to the Golden Achievement Award, Saginaw ISD has also been recognized with three awards in the Publications and Digital Media Excellence category:

  1. Excellence Award for Website: Saginaw ISD's website redesign, with a focus on ADA compliance and user accessibility, was honored with an Excellence Award, reflecting the district's dedication to inclusivity and providing a user-friendly online experience.

  2. Merit Award for Single-Video Entry: The Preschool Teacher Advertisement, which premiered locally during the 2024 Super Bowl, earned Saginaw ISD a Merit Award for its engaging and effective communication strategy in promoting early childhood education.

  3. Merit Award for Handbook/Guide: The district's Brand Guidelines page received a Merit Award for its comprehensive and accessible resource that helps staff and the public maintain consistency and alignment with Saginaw ISD's branding.

"We are deeply grateful to receive four prestigious awards from the National School Public Relations Association," said Superintendent Dr. Jeffrey Collier of Saginaw ISD. "This recognition is a testament to the gold standard of communication, transparency, and positive storytelling that we prioritize at Saginaw ISD.
