Saginaw ISD is proud to celebrate the professional achievement of Mark Quaderer, Executive Director of Technology, who recently earned his Chief Technology Officer (CTO) certification through the Michigan School Business Officials (MSBO) voluntary certification program. This milestone reflects Mark’s ongoing commitment to enhancing school technology leadership and service throughout Saginaw County.

The MSBO Chief Technology Officer certification provides school technology professionals with essential training on Michigan-specific laws, regulations, and best practices. The program is designed to strengthen the professionalism and expertise of school technology managers across the state. 

“Mark has been instrumental in supporting the districts we serve,” said Scott Sawyer, Deputy Superintendent of Operations at Saginaw ISD. “This certification is a testament to his expertise and commitment to technology solutions that empower students, educators, and administrators alike.”

Mark has been a leader in Saginaw ISD’s technology initiatives for over 18 years, continuously adapting to new challenges and opportunities in the ever-changing digital landscape. Since joining Saginaw ISD in 2007, he has played a crucial role in the district’s technology growth, ensuring that schools across the county have access to reliable, innovative, and secure technological resources.

“I’m honored to receive this certification as it represents a continued investment in my ability to serve our schools and communities,” said Mark Quaderer, Executive Director of Technology at Saginaw ISD. “Technology plays a vital role in education, and I look forward to applying these new insights to enhance the infrastructure, security, and digital learning environments for the districts we support.”

The MSBO CTO certification program is structured to provide foundational and advanced knowledge for school technology professionals. Through coursework, industry insights, and networking with peers across the state, participants gain the expertise needed to navigate the complexities of modern educational technology. Mark’s achievement reinforces Saginaw ISD’s commitment to equipping its team with the highest level of professional training to support schools effectively.

ABOUT SAGINAW INTERMEDIATE SCHOOL DISTRICT

Saginaw Intermediate School District (ISD) is an educational service agency that provides effective and innovative leadership, services, resources, and programs throughout Saginaw County. Saginaw ISD provides career and technical education, early childhood, finance, human resources, instruction, pupil accounting, special education, technology, and transportation services. In addition, Saginaw ISD operates multiple educational programs to meet the unique needs of students ages birth to 26 across Saginaw County, including: Hartley Outdoor Education Center, Head Start/Early Head Start and Great Start to Readiness Programs, Great Lakes Bay Early College, Saginaw County Juvenile Detention Center School, and Special Education Center Programs.

Saginaw ISD serves 12 local school districts, five public school academies, and 22 non-public schools, with a total enrollment of approximately 26,000 students. Public school districts supported include: Birch Run Area Schools, Bridgeport-Spaulding Community School District, Carrollton Public Schools, Chesaning Union Schools, Frankenmuth School District, Freeland Community School District, Hemlock Public School District, Merrill Community Schools, Saginaw Public School District, Saginaw Township Community Schools, St. Charles Community Schools, and Swan Valley School District.
