The Saginaw Intermediate School District would like to congratulate Andrea Wise, Executive Director of Human Resources, for completing the requirements to continue her Human Resources Specialist Certification under the Michigan School Business Officials (MSBO) program. This achievement represents Ms. Wise’s commitment to the profession of human resources administration in public education and the Saginaw ISD with 90 hours of professional development established by the MSBO Board of Directors.
“The MSBO HRS Certification Program has contributed to my leadership development in providing expertise in Human Resources Administration in public education,” said Ms. Wise. She has been an active member of MSBO since 2011.

During her 19 years in education, Ms.Wise has served in various roles in Human Resources both at Saginaw ISD and local school district levels. Her comprehensive background in employee and labor relations, HR management, improving systems and processes, recruitment, attraction, and staff retention has built strong and trusting relationships with her peers, staff, and local school district leaders.
Ms. Wise earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and her Master’s Degree in Human Resources Administration from Central Michigan University. Ms. Wise leads the HR Roundtable throughout the Great Lakes Bay Region that helps to provide informational resources to HR and Business Officials in the area. In addition to her membership with the Michigan School Business Officials (MSBO), she is also involved in the Michigan Association of School Personnel Administrators (MASPA), Michigan Negotiators Association (MNA), and Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM). Ms.Wise continues her leadership with presentations in the areas of free speech and social media, the effects of COVID on HR, and the foundations of payroll.
Ms. Wise and her husband, Chip, enjoy spending time with family and friends, traveling, and spending time outdoors. They are parents to two children, Madison and Mitch, who both work in the field of education.
